About
This Class is Part 1 of a 3-Part Series of Classes that fall under the topic of Introduction to Herbal Medicine. There are so many wonderful and foundational ideas to cover when a person is learning about Herbal Medicine, and I teach from a Holistic Herbalism view. This means the entire body needs to be considered as a functioning system, and learning from a holistic modality helps create very well-rounded Herbalists. In this Class you will learn the following topics: * What Herbal/Botanical Medicine is - by touching on modalities such as TCM, Ayurveda, Folk and regionalized studies. We will discuss what the Earth provides, dive a bit into the Holistic Approach and what that really means, cover Cooking with Herbs and the importance of mental time outs. * The History of Herbal Medicine * Eastern & Western Medicine styles, including a discussion about the pharmaceutical industry. * Legalities * An Overview of Herbs including chapters on dried herbs, fresh herbs, growing your own herbs, harvesting herbs in the wild, and some cautionary information as well. This is Part 1 of 3. The next class will be released right behind this one for continued learning and growth. You will have access to numerous pdf's for download and future use in your own practice of Herbal Medicine, and of course you can reference and re-watch class segments as you chose in the future. Thank you for being here and Happy Learning!
